9M India has cleanroom environment for ophthalmic eye drop manufacturing. Grade A/B areas are for aseptic fill-finish under Class 100 (ISO 5) laminar airflow and Grade C for preparation and bulk filtration. Manufacture of Water for Injection (WFI) on-site from purified water by validated double pass RO and distillation. Bulk preparation in SS 316L vessels with sterile filtration through 0.2 micron membrane filters immediately before aseptic fill. Ongoing monitoring of viable and non-viable particles in cleanroom settings. Integrity testing of container closure by vacuum decay or high voltage leak detection on each filled batch.

Antibiotic eye drops Moxifloxacin 0.5% (broad spectrum ocular antibiotic, 4th generation fluoroquinolone), Ciprofloxacin 0.3% and Tobramycin. Antifungal eye drops, Natamycin 5% ophthalmic suspension, is the core of treatment for fungal keratitis. The Natamycin suspension manufacturing process requires validated particle size distribution (within the 10-15 micron range for optimal corneal penetration) and confirmation of dose uniformity, which is essential for suspension type ophthalmic preparations due to the potential impact of settling on the delivered dose. Timolol maleate 0.25% and 0.5% (beta-blocker) is a first line antiglaucoma agent.
