01
Yes. 9M India manufactures Ciprofloxacin 0.3% w/v eye drops at its WHO-GMP certified sterile ophthalmic facility in Birkoni, Chhattisgarh. Ciprofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic and a WHO Essential Medicine for ophthalmic infections. All batches are produced under classified cleanroom conditions with aseptic fill-finish and full batch documentation.
02
Ciprofloxacin 0.3% eye drops are indicated for bacterial conjunctivitis, bacterial keratitis and corneal ulcers — particularly those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, gram-negative organisms and many gram-positive bacteria. Ciprofloxacin is also used for blepharoconjunctivitis and as prophylaxis in minor ocular procedures. It remains a widely used first-line antibiotic eye drop due to its established efficacy, broad availability and cost-effectiveness.
03
Yes. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution is listed on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. This classification drives high-volume demand in institutional, government and NGO procurement programmes globally — particularly across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East where 9M India exports. It is one of the most widely tendered ophthalmic antibiotics in these markets.
04
Ciprofloxacin (0.3%) is a second-generation fluoroquinolone with excellent gram-negative coverage and activity against Pseudomonas — but relatively weaker gram-positive coverage compared to newer fluoroquinolones. Moxifloxacin (0.5%) is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone with broader spectrum including superior gram-positive activity. Ciprofloxacin remains preferred for Pseudomonas keratitis and is more widely available and cost-effective for routine bacterial conjunctivitis.
05
Yes. 9M India manufactures Ciprofloxacin 0.3% + Dexamethasone 0.1% combination eye drops for bacterial infections with significant inflammatory component — such as blepharokeratoconjunctivitis and post-operative inflammatory conditions. This combination reduces the need for separate antibiotic and steroid formulations.
06
Ciprofloxacin 0.3% eye drops are available in 5ml and 10ml sterile multi-dose bottles. Institutional bulk packs and custom private label packaging for export markets are available. Ciprofloxacin eye drops are part of 9M India's active export portfolio for the Middle East, Africa, CIS and ASEAN markets.
07
Documentation available includes WHO-GMP Certificate, DCGI Manufacturing Licence, CoPP, batch- wise CoA (sterility, particulate matter, pH, assay, preservative content), ICH Zone IVb stability data and CTD/ACTD dossiers on request. As a WHO Essential Medicine, Ciprofloxacin eye drops are among our most documented formulations for export registration support.
08
Ciprofloxacin eye drops are manufactured to full sterile pharmaceutical standards: classified cleanroom (Grade A aseptic fill zone), WFI on-site, 0.2 micron sterile filtration, compendial sterility testing on every batch, particulate matter analysis to USP <788>, and pH, assay and preservative content testing — all documented in the batch Certificate of Analysis.
