The WHO-GMP requirements for penicillin-class antibiotics are that they must be produced in a fully dedicated facility, with no sharing of production with non-penicillin products. Separation of cephalosporins by validation: multi-product facilities are capable of producing non-beta-lactam antibiotics (fluoroquinolones and macrolides).
