Tackling malnutrition is a key challenge for India. One-third of the children in India are growing up stunted and the main reason is lack of awareness around nutrition issues. In Chhattisgarh 37.6% children below the age of 5 years are suffering from mal nutrition and 41.5% of the mothers & daughters are suffering from anaemia due to lack of awareness around nutrition issues, poverty, gender disparity, poor sanitation, low health and nutrition service coverage and poor nutritional intake - particularly an iron-deficient diet.
As the situation of mal-nutrition in the state of Chhattisgarh is alarming, the Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has recently launched a campaign to eradicate malnutrition and anaemia in all the districts and he said,
“The state government has set the goal to make Chhattisgarh malnutrition and anaemia free within the next three years. Under this campaign, people suffering from malnutrition and anaemia will be provided free of cost nutritious food every day,”
Our company will be manufacturing Micronutrient Powders (MNP),sachets containing dry powder with micro nutrients that can be added to any solid or semi-solid food that is ready for consumption. MNP provides iron and other nutrients required for treating nutritional anaemia and fill gaps in the diets of particularly infants and young childrens. The target group for MNP can be infants, women, lactating and pregnant women and school childrens. Our company can easily fulfill the MNP requirements of our state and contribute towards the CM’s goal of eradication of malnutrition from the state.

Due to the effects of the pandemic and associated lockdowns, the health care systems were unable to cope up with the situation due to non availability of medical supplies and essential medical equipments timely and legal restrictions on outside procurement , however, the situation of lack of accessibility to medications can be easily dealt with a strong local manufacturing and supply base, there would not be any problem and scarcity during such pandemic, as there will be easy access and timely production & supply of essential medicines by the local manufacturers to the government, which will help the government to make timely distribution of the essential medicines to its District Administrations in such situations.
Our company proposes to establish an in-house laboratory with state-of-art equipments for the day to day testing of its raw material and finished goods to adhere to the WHO and FDA norms and to carry out in house research and development work. The company laboratory will provide full fledged facility and platform for the Doctors, Professors and students of the state to carry out research work and clinical trials & studies of Drugs & Medicines. The company also wishes to enter into tie-up arrangement with the local medical colleges for accessing the facilities and equipments of the laboratories. In this way our company is going to contribute towards the Research & Development work of the state as there are very limited numbers of medical laboratories in the state of Chhattisgarh.
